In order to better service our customers MTI have now introduced into their range the NEW Slump Stopping Bottle Brush to suit holes from 89-102mm. 

Technical description:

• Retention plug for Emulsion charging in an uphole mining application.
• Retention plug consists of green Polypropylene bristles wound perpendicularly around a spiralled, plastic coated wire spine.
• The total length is 300mm and the diameter taken from tip to tip of the bristles is 145mm. 

Method of Installing:

• In application an overhead vertical hole is charged with an emulsive explosive capable of holding its integrity for a short period of time.
• Instantaneously after the entire length of the hole has been charged the explosive delivery hose is retracted from the hole and the retention plug is placed on top of the hose.
• The hose is then inserted into the hole and the plug is forced up into the explosive.
• In doing so the emulsion occupies the voids of the bristles to create a solid plug capable of retaining the column, to prevent slumping from occurring.
