The Powerstart Tornado turbine starter is the culmination of years of experience in the harshest environments where reliability and performance are essential requirements.

Internal gearbox which eliminates the use of extended lubrication.

Compact and lightweight making the Powerstart Jetstream easy to install in even the tightest of spaces.

Sealed to ensure use in gas and air applications.

Powerstart turbine starters can operate at supply pressures of between 4 bar (60 psi) and 30 bar (435 psi) which means that expensive pressure reducing vales are not required for high pressure applications typically aboard ships.

Construction is of cast iron with no external aluminium compnents which makes the starers very robust and suitable for methane contaminated environments.

Any number of piniopn configurations can be supplies in steel or beryllium copper.

Both the Jetstream and the Tornado starters are sealed for natural gas and sour gas applications.

For larger engines where performance and reliability cannot be comprimised the Powerstart Tornado turbine starter moto is perfect for.
