MTi Group, in line with its strategy of growing into emerging markets, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with prominent Indonesian mining services company PT Trifita Perkasa (‘Trifita’) . Effective immediately Trifita will have exclusive distribution rights for MTi Group mining products such as BlastBag Aero, BlastBag Solo, BlastBall, DuraLine, MiTi Measure & Slump-Stoppa, with the ultimate aim of manufacturing under licence once product volume critical mass is achieved.

This is a classic win-win for both parties; Trifita have a number of existing and future customers who would benefit from the cost savings possible when using MTi Group products, that compliment and synergise Trifitas’ value proposition, while MTi Group have the opportunity to diffuse its mining products and build its brand into a significant, strategically important neighbouring mining market. The opportunity to perform through seam blasting (TSB) broadly in the coal industry through the use of MTi Group mining products has the potential to deliver cost savings & operating efficiencies, and deliver significant competitive advantage to coal mines in Indonesia.
