In line with World Environment Day, June 5th 2009, we will launch our newest product the Enviro BlastBag and offer customers the alternative of a BlastBagTM plug (borehole plug or gas bag) with a significantly lower global warming potential (Low GWP).

This variant will have all the features synonymous with the current offering (such as extra tough, high visibility scuffbag, patented revolutionary 2-speed ‘Solo’ push-latch and custom-built hangtag) with the additional benefit of lower impact on the environment through the use of proprietary hydrocarbon-based propellants.

This year, the theme of World Environment Day is: “Your Planet Needs You-UNite to Combat Climate Change”.

MTi Group are offering their current and new customers the opportunity to contribute to decreasing the effects of global warming on site by using the MTi Group Enviro product line of BlastBagTM plugs.

If your site allows the flexibility to use  Class 2.1 Gas Bags for Drill and Blast, then there would be no concern when switching to the lower global warming potential (LGWP) Enviro Plugs that MTi Group now offer in conjunction with their already market leading Solo BlastBagTM.  MTI Group will still manufacture gas bags with HFC-134a propellant as it is widely accepted as the safest propellant currently available where non flammability is a requirement.

Offering two distinct propellants allows MTI Group to satisfy both safety and environmental imperatives and better service blast solutions Australia wide, without bias.
